Clients recognize me for being a clear thinker, a frank speaker and a strong doer. They rely on me to facilitate change that makes sense.
Since 1985 my career has focused on improving performance in service-based organizations. While my industry experience runs deepest in the health care sector, it also includes significant work in community organizations, international development agencies, small businesses, colleges and universities and professional associations.
Areas of expertise include project conceptualization, feasibility analysis, strategic and business planning, change management, project management and evaluation, stakeholder consultation and engagement, and advisory and executive management services.
I believe in the importance of gathering insights and experiences from different cultures and being constantly curious and open to new ways of thinking and new ways of acting. I bring perspectives to projects from work and travel experiences encompassing North, South and Central America as well as Africa. I believe that successful projects are achieved by engaged people who share a vision.
From Harvard University, I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Sector Reform and Sustainable Financing. My Executive MBA is from Simon Fraser University, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is from the University of Manitoba. I hold a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment at the University of British Columbia (Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy).
